PUCKETT’S GROCERY ANNOUNCES OFFICIAL PARTNERSHIP WITH NASHVILLE PREDATORS
Puckett’s To Provide All BBQ For Bridgestone Arena Guests, Presents Saturday Home Game Concerts
NASHVILLE, Tenn–Puckett’s Gro. & Restaurant announced a three-year partnership with Bridgestone Arena this week, and its placement as the Nashville Predators’ official barbeque sponsor.
Aligning with the hockey team’s opening weekend, Puckett’s will serve its slow ‘n’ low cherrywood smoked meats and home-cooked sides for the first time Thursday, Oct. 8. The iconic Southern eatery will be Bridgestone Arena’s exclusive BBQ restaurant moving forward.
Bridgestone Arena underwent $11.2 million in renovations this summer, and included the addition of metal detectors at each entrance, in-bowl LED lights, 7,000 seats in the Lower Bowl, new concession stands and renovated restrooms.
With three concession stand sites throughout the venue and one mobile cart, Puckett’s has added another piece of “authentic Nashville” to the Bridgestone Arena experience.
“It’s an incredible opportunity to be able to partner with our hometown hockey team, and the eighth busiest arena in the world. That the Nashville Predators and Bridgestone Arena want to align their brands with a local grocery store and restaurant is another example of how community-minded Nashville is,” said Andy Marshall, owner of A. Marshall Family Foods Inc. “This is a dream for our family, who has long been supporters of the Preds and Bridgestone Arena events.”
A. Marshall Foods Director of Business Development Mark Gothard said that while the Puckett’s Bridgestone menu may rotate, guests will always be able to order its pulled pork, brisket and pulled chicken sandwiches–all of which will be smoked on-site in Puckett’s traditional slow ‘n’ low style over cherrywood with its signature rubs and sauces. The restaurant will also offer plates with its signature sides, like mac ‘n’ cheese, cole slaw and baked beans.
In addition to the culinary component, the Nashville Predators have also tapped into the musical component of Puckett’s culture, which the restaurant says is just as ingrained as the cooking.
A Puckett’s stage near the Nissan entrance on SoBro (by Tavern 96 and The Wheelhouse) will host a free concert prior to each Preds’ Saturday home game, usually beginning around 5:30 p.m. The Puckett’s booking team will be responsible for enlisting musicians who will bring a true singer/songwriter experience to Bridgestone Arena.
Both the Tavern 96 and The Wheelhouse will be open during the Puckett’s show, allowing for ticketholders to enjoy local brew and live music before the game. All performances will be listed on at http://www.bridgestonearena.com or http://www.puckettsgro.com/nashville.
Bridgestone Arena ranks second in the United States and sixth in the world for concert ticket sales, according to international trade publication Pollstar’s Third-Quarter Ticket Sales report. Serving as the home for numerous national and international events, Bridgestone Arena was named Pollstar’s 2014 Arena of the Year, and was named the Academy of Country Music’s Large Capacity Venue of the Year in March of 2014.
With locations in downtown Franklin, downtown Nashville and downtown Columbia and downtown Chattanooga, the Puckett’s roots go way back to the 1950s and a little grocery store in the village of Leiper’s Fork, Tenn. To learn more, go to http://www.puckettsgro.com.
