An investigation is underway in Franklin after a GPS tracking device discovered on a car was linked to superstar sisters Wynonna and Ashley Judd.
How the device got under the car and who put it there is unclear, but two high-ranking sources within the Franklin Police Department confirm the investigation.
The tracking device was found Friday afternoon at Quick Muffler on 7th Street in downtown Franklin.
According to sources, a teenager brought the car in and asked mechanics to check the vehicle for tracking devices.
A mechanic who was working that day told News 2 the device was found on the undercarriage of the vehicle.
A police officer removed it from the car and the GPS is now in police custody.
Police are not commenting on what role the Judd sisters may play in the investigation. No one at the department would talk on camera.
Nashville’s News 2 Investigates reached out to both Judd sisters for comment. Representatives did not immediately return our calls.
