Convicted cocaine felon Courtney Jordan, 28, is back behind bars after his arrest Thursday on an outstanding felony probation violation warrant and the discovery of cocaine, heroin, and a handgun.
Acting on a tip regarding Jordan’s whereabouts, East Precinct officers took him into custody at his place of employment on North 1st Street. During a search of the Nissan Altima that Jordan drove to work, officers recovered five grams of cocaine, 2.3 grams of heroin, and a loaded nine millimeter pistol.
At the time of his arrest, Jordan was free on $42,500 bond for his New Year’s Day arrest at the James Cayce public housing development. In that case, he was charged with cocaine possession, felon in possession of a handgun, theft (the handgun had been reported stolen in Logan County, Kentucky), and gun possession during the commission of a felony. Additionally, Jordan has four prior felony drug convictions since 2014.
Jordan, of Bass Street, is now, again, charged with felony drug possession, felon in possession of a handgun, and gun possession during the commission of a felony. He is being held in lieu of $75,000 bond.
