Foul Play is not suspected in Saturday afternoon’s drowning death of a three-year-old boy in his family’s above ground swimming pool on Rocky Mountain Parkway.
Joseph Warfield’s 25-year-old stepbrother, who lives at the home, was doing household chores and supervising Joseph when he looked outside and saw the child motionless in the pool. The child’s father was about to enter his vehicle to leave when he heard a commotion in the back yard. He ran into the back yard to assist in performing CPR until medical personnel arrived. The boy’s mother was also at home.
Joseph was rushed to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital where he died.
