The school choice application process for the 2018-19 school year will look a little different than last year. The process will begin later than usual on January 10, 2018. The later start date will allow the district and school board time to finalize plans for MNPS Next and will allow families more time to apply before the random selection process. This change will benefit families and will allow more time for families to prepare for the application process. This change is also consistent with the recommendation from the School Choice Transition Team to “extend the application period for the school choice process.” The deadline for families to apply for the random selection process this year is February 2, 2018 and the selection day results will be available Friday, February 23, 2018.
Please take notice of the application period beginning on January 10, 2018 and “Tour Tuesdays” beginning on January 9, 2018. If you have any questions please feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org.
