Community Invited to Discuss Plans for Sidewalk Improvements on Tuesday, March 19
Members of the community are invited to discuss plans for sidewalk improvements along Dickerson Pike from Douglas Avenue to Trinity Lane at a public meeting on Tuesday, March 19. The meeting will be 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the Shwab Elementary School cafeteria, 1500 Dickerson Pike.
This project will provide a walkable route to Shwab Elementary, Trinity Methodist Church, and various businesses along the route, as well as the already existing MTA bus stops and marked bicycle facilities. When complete, this area of Dickerson Pike will be a ‘complete street,’ safe and accessible for motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians alike. The meeting will bring the community up-to-date on the progress of the project.
This Metro Public Works project is being led by Nashville-based engineering firm Barge Design Solutions, Inc. Project consultants will lead the March 19 meeting with a brief presentation followed by a public comment/question and answer session. Those who live, work, or commute through this area of Dickerson Pike are encouraged to attend the meeting and provide feedback.
For those unable to attend the meeting, comments may be submitted to J. Andrew Smith, P.E., Nashville Public Works, at email@example.com.
