Convicted killer LaQuintaze Buford is being held in the Metro Jail without bond as the result of his arrest late Thursday on a probation violation warrant and charges of evading arrest.
North Precinct Officers Samuel Galluzzi and Bryan Musgrave engaged in a lengthy foot chase of Buford after he stopped his vehicle on Hydes Ferry Road and ran. The officers ultimately caught up with him in a yard at LaGrange Drive & Snell Boulevard. He was taken into custody there.
Buford, 24, received a 10-year probated sentence last year as the result of a 2nd degree murder conviction. He cut ties with his probation officer, causing the issuance of the revocation warrant. Buford is also under investigation for other recent crimes.
