The Vanderbilt men’s basketball team made the cross-city trip to match up against the hosting Belmont Bruins and lost by a score of 69-60. It was the first time Vanderbilt had played on the road against Belmont since Nov. 21, 2003, which was the first-ever game played at the Curb Event Center.
Freshman Saben Lee led the Commodores with 19 points on 5-9 shooting from the floor. Lee was joined in double-figures scoring by Jeff Roberson and Riley LaChance, who finished with 13 and 10 points, respectively.
Roberson also added a team-high 12 rebounds to give him his second consecutive double-double. He finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds in the season opener against Austin Peay.
Vanderbilt’s next game will be on Nov. 17 against UNC Asheville at Memorial Gym.
